Old Time Radio Flashback: QUIET, PLEASE ("My Son, John")
I've always felt that the old time radio shows that still hold up in the 21st century--indeed, many of them are often far superior to the most expensive CGI tentpole summer movies being cranked out today--are those that dealt primarily with the genres of suspense and supernatural horror. One of the greatest old time radio shows was QUIET, PLEASE (which ran from 1947 to 1949), and one of my favorite episodes is "My Son, John" written and directed by the show's creator, Wyllis Cooper... appropriate listening fare for this Halloween season.
