Happy Grandparents' Day!

Yes, indeed, even dear ol' Grandpa is stunned by the unexpected infernal delights contained within THE EXPECTANT MOTHER DISINFORMATION HANDBOOK! To avail yourself of the same hermetic energy seen here being absorbed by Grandpa's septuagenarian body as his electrified brain soaks up the ancient healing wisdom contained within THE HANDBOOK, you need simply buy a copy from the publisher (Madness Heart Press) and/or the evil multinational corporation that peddles such contraband online. To buy one or more copies of THE EXPECTANT MOTHER DISINFORMATION HANDBOOK for your desperately required spiritual/physical evolution, click HERE... or HERE!!!

PRAISE FOR THE EXPECTANT MOTHER DISINFORMATION HANDBOOK:

"Robert Guffey’s The Expectant Mother Disinformation Handbook is weirder than parthenogenesis, weirder than the Republican Party, weirder than the fetishizing of pregnancy that suffuses our culture, weirder than all the back issues of Weird Tales combined. You will laugh, gasp, and scratch your head in pleasurable bemusement. I can’t recommend this tongue-in-cheek tour de force too highly."

—James Morrow, award-winning author of Only Begotten Daughter and Behold the Ape

"Here it is. THE perfect baby-shower/gender reveal party gift. Forget all the binkies, blankies, cute little onesies, and diaper-service subscriptions. Those are so overdone and boring. Want to make a REAL impact? This book. This book right here [...].

"Well-written, lively, engaging, easy to read, and tons of fun. If I were a truly evil imp with plenty of money, I’d sneak copies into every OB/GYN office and ‘Parenting and Family’ bookstore section in the country."

—Christine Morgan, award-winning author of Spermjackers from Hell and Lakehouse Infernal

"We've got plenty of people who think that they know best--better even than a given pregnant woman. We don't need more of them, but we could damn well use more examples of them turned into buffoons just like we get to see in the Handbook [...]. [The Expectant Mother Disinformation Handbook] is often weird, often funny, frightfully well written, and it gives us that unique satisfaction that only fiction can provide by putting the bastards into a magic circle of their own disinformation and locking them away. Isn't it sweet to think that they'd stay there."

Gary D. Rhodes and I Discuss WEIRDUMENTARY on WHERE DID THE ROAD GO?

I recently returned to Seriah Azkath's WHERE DID THE ROAD GO? to discuss Gary D. Rhodes' wonderful new book, WEIRDUMENTARY (published by Feral House Press). Here's Seriah's description of the episode...

This is a fun conversation with Gary Rhodes, and I invited one of his best friends, Robert Guffey, to join us!

Weirdumentary: Ancient Aliens, Fallacious Prophecies, and Mysterious Monsters from 1970s Documentaries is a 2025 book by Gary D. Rhodes that explores the genre of pseudo-documentaries from the 1970s, such as Chariots of the Gods and The Man Who Saw Tomorrow, which popularized topics like ancient aliens, prophecies, and cryptids. The book provides a history of these films, individual entries on over 45 movies, and features images from the era, making it a resource for fans of pop culture, cinema, and the paranormal.

Welcome to the Cryptoscatology Predictive Programming Factory (or) From Fiction to Fact and Back Again!

From Brett Tingley's 9-2-25 SPACE.COM article entitled "Trump Moves US Space Command to Alabama's 'Rocket City'":

President Donald Trump just announced that U.S. Space Command will be relocated from Colorado to Huntsville, Alabama.

In an Oval Office press conference on Tuesday (Sept. 2), Trump stated that U.S. Space Command, which oversees space-based warfighting capabilities across the entire U.S. military, including the Space Force, will move to Alabama, reversing a decision by the previous presidential administration.

"I am thrilled to report that the U.S. Space Command headquarters will move to the beautiful locale of a place called Huntsville, Alabama, forever to be known from this point forward as 'Rocket City,'" Trump stated today, using a nickname that has long described Huntsville. "We love Alabama. I only won it by about 47 points. I don't think that influenced my decision, right?"

I know what you're wondering, of course! You're wondering, "Are there any fictional narratives (other than Thomas Pynchon's GRAVITY'S RAINBOW) that juxtapose conspiratorial skulduggery with an insidious government facility called 'Rocket City'?" The answer to that perceptive question can be found in a brief excerpt from my novella "Rocket City Murder," which is included in my Wonderland Award-nominated collection WIDOW OF THE AMPUTATION & OTHER WEIRD CRIMES (Eraserhead Press, 2021):

WIDOW OF THE AMPUTATION & OTHER WEIRD CRIMES is a collection of four novellas that explore the madness of murder through the warped lenses of urban noir, science fiction, horror, and experimental fantasy.

In DECAY IN AMBER, a convicted rapist and murderer wakes up one morning to discover he is only six inches tall and floating down the middle of the L.A. River in a beer bottle. In ROCKET CITY MURDER, a police lieutenant has only twenty-four hours to solve a brutal triple-murder committed within the secretive confines of the bio warfare research lab known as Micropolis. In WIDOW OF THE AMPUTATION, the mythologies of various cultures collide as Charles Manson succeeds in busting out of Corcoran Penitentiary. And in YOU MIGHT AS WELL DIE, a crime noir writer is led into a clever cat-and-mouse game intended to frame him for a murder he himself unknowingly devised.

"Guffey is my kind of crazy. He understands that the universe is preposterous, life is improbable, and chaos rules: get used to it." -Pat Cadigan, author of MINDPLAYERS

"Robert Guffey's writing has impressed, entertained, and enlightened me pretty much since I first met him. My suggestion? If he wrote it, read it." - Jack Womack, author of RANDOM ACTS OF SENSELESS VIOLENCE

"A playful amalgam of Andy Kaufman and Philip K. Dick..." - Damien Lincoln Ober, author of DOCTOR BENJAMIN FRANKLIN'S DREAM AMERICA

Ray Stanford, R.I.P. (1938-2025)

I only recently learned about the death of UFOlogist Ray Dene Stanford, who passed away back on June 14, 2025, at the age of 86. Stanford was the author of several books, perhaps most notably SOCORRO 'SAUCER' IN A PENTAGON PANTRY (Blueapple Books, 1976), a microscopic analysis of police officer Lonnie Zamora's infamous sighting of an egg-shaped UFO in April of 1964 on the outskirts of Socorro, New Mexico. The book is an illuminating time capsule of 1960s/1970s UFO culture and overlaps, in various fascinating ways, with Leonard H. Stringfield's 1977 book SITUATION RED: THE UFO SIEGE (which I mentioned earlier this year in my 1-7-25 CryptoPost). It's definitely worth your time.

If you're interested in learning more about Stanford's work, I recommend checking out the following UFO CLASSIFIED interview with Ray Stanford conducted by Erica Lukes on March 9, 2019...

Operation Trojan Horse

From Libby Rainey's 8-6-25 LAIST article entitled "Federal Agents Detain People at a Westlake Home Depot After Jumping Out of Rented Penske Moving Van":

Federal agents detained 16 people in a Westlake Home Depot parking lot early Wednesday, according to a government statement. The action comes despite a court order temporarily halting indiscriminate sweeps in the region.

The agents arrived in a rented Penske moving van, according to a Fox News reporter who accompanied the agents. Video posted on social media by the reporter shows men in U.S. Border Patrol vests who appear to be hiding in the van's closed cargo area. The rolling back door then opens and the agents run into the parking lot just east of MacArthur Park.

U.S. Border Patrol Sector Chief Gregory Bovino, who is leading operations in L.A., and the Department of Homeland Security called it "Operation Trojan Horse." A Homeland Security statement said the people arrested were from Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. It did not say whether the agency had arrest warrants.
