Netflix recently debuted Joshua Zeman's true-crime series, THE SONS OF SAM: A DESCENT INTO DARKNESS, which is based on Maury Terry's 1987 nonfiction book, THE ULTIMATE EVIL. In light of this fact, it might be illuminating to review what Mae Brussell (often referred to by admirers and detractors alike as "the Queen of Conspiracies") had to say about the Son of Sam killings way back in August of 1977 as the case against David Berkowitz was still unfolding.
Please note what Brussell has to say from around the 8:00 mark to 12:00... and keep in mind that this is well over a year before the vast majority of the world had ever heard of a man named "Reverend Jim Jones."

By the way, today would have been Brussell's 99th birthday. (She passed away due to cancer on October 3rd, 1988.)
